The new Stuttgart Health Clinic Annex at Kelley Barracks will begin seeing patients, on Monday, 28 March 2011. This is a big quality of life improvement for AFRICOM and our Kelley Barracks-based Community. Your awareness and use of this new health service option is important to all of us in the AFRICOM community. Here's some key information about the new clinic:

Location: Next to the Mailroom in Building #3312, at the top of the stairs.

Hours: Monday-Thursday from 0800-1200.

Eligible Patients: TRICARE-beneficiaries age 17 years and older.

Available Appointments: Adult primary care for acute medical needs..."need an appointment today."

How to get an Appointment: Call Central Appointments at DSN 371-2622 or CIV: 06221-17-2622. No walk-in care or emergency services are available at the clinic. Please continue to call DSN: 116 on base for a medical emergency.

The clinic will be staffed with medics from the U.S. Army Health Clinic on Patch Barracks. Only limited pharmacy and laboratory support will be available at the new Kelley Annex. No radiology support is present. After being seen, some patients may still need to go to the main clinic on Patch Barracks for Pharmacy, Medication, Laboratory tests, or X-Ray support as coordinated by the Kelley Annex staff. In addition, the AFRICOM Travel Clinic for AFRICOM HQ Staff who are preparing for trips to the continent will be moving from Building #3309 to the new facility. Information on when future Travel Clinics will occur will be sent out via an AFRICOM ALL email.

Use of the new Kelley Annex Clinic will be closely monitored over the first few months. The plan is to expand services, in phases, based on how much the new Clinic is used. Additional services and expanded hours are options that will be discussed and planned for, based on our use and the demand signal that is established. Therefore, please take advantage of our new facility and make good use of this valuable addition to Kelley Barracks. It will only be available as long as the demand for it exists. For additional questions, please contact the AFRICOM SG, Col Robert Miller, at 'Robert.Miller@africom.mil'.
