The East and West Africa Malaria Task Force, launched four years ago, has matured into a robust collaboration between East and West African countries and the United States. More than 60 senior medical representatives from member states met in Bujumbura, Burundi, on August 25 for the opening ceremonies of the Task Force conference.

Military leaders of 17 African nations and the United States have gathered for the fourth annual African Air Chiefs Symposium to discuss air force capabilities and important regional issues.
Security Cooperation Team- 1, with Special-Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force Africa 14, departed Naval Air Station Sigonella for an upcoming train-the-trainer theater security cooperation engagement in Toubacouta, Senegal, during September.
