ADDIS ABABA, Ethiopia - Brehanu Woldegiorgies, video producer for the African Union, shows his camera to (left to right) Gerald Bryza and Jim Kresge, broadcast engineers from Armed Forces Network Europe, during a visit to the African Union July 21, 2009. Bryza and Kresge were part of a five person team who came to Addis Ababa for four days to assess the communication capabilities of the African Union and to offer advice on how the international organization can improve its ability to share information with audiences throughout the world. U.S. Africa Command sent the team to Ethiopia at the request of the U.S. Mission to the African Union as part of a cooperation agreement between the mission and the African Union Commission. In addition to Bryza and Kresge, the team included a third broadcast engineer from the Defense Media Activity in Riverside, California, and representatives from U.S. Africa Command's Outreach Directorate and Office of Public Affairs.
