Theater Medical Clearance

All U.S. military personnel on official or leisure travel; Department of Defense civilians, contractors, subcontractors, volunteers on official travel; and U.S. interagency personnel traveling in support of U.S. Africa Command missions must adhere to the medical theater entry requirements outlined in Africa Command Instruction (ACI) 4200.09. This instruction applies for travel of any duration.

U.S. Africa Command has specified the following criteria as COVID-19 high risk factors:

Age over 55 | Granted a medical waiver for theater entry | Blood disorder | Chronic kidney disease | Chronic liver disease | Compromised immune system | Current or recent pregnancy within the last 2 weeks | Endocrine disorders | Metabolic disorders | Heart disease | Lung disease | Neurological conditions
