AFRICOM Commander Engages with African Leaders

Marine Corps Gen. Thomas D. Waldhauser reaches out to shake the hand of Brig. Gen. Alhassan Abu, Military Navy Air Attaché, Ghana and Dean, African Defense Attaché Association, as the African Union Ambassador to the United States, Her Excellence Dr. Arikana Chihombori-Quao, looks on. Waldhauser engaged with 21 defense attaches and the African Union Ambassador to the United States, in a wide-ranging discussion at the Africa House, in Washington D.C. Waldhauser stressed the importance of the U.S. relationship with African and efforts to build African partner capacity to address challenges on the continent.
