AFRICOM Commander Meets with African Chiefs of Defense

U.S. Army Gen. Stephen Townsend, commander, U.S. Africa Command, and Maj. Gen. Mpho Mophuting, director of general support services, Botswana Defence Force, meet Aug. 14, 2019. Townsend met with Chiefs of Defense from Liberia, Ghana, and Malawi Aug. 13-14. He also met with Mophuting, who represented the Botswana Defence Force. Townsend and the African generals were participating in the Africa Senior Enlisted Leader Conference.
