In the Horn of Africa, CJTF-HOA is the U.S. Africa Command organization that conducts operations in the region to enhance partner nation capacity, promote regional security and stability, dissuade conflict, and protect U.S. and coalition interests.
As the air component of USAFRICOM, U.S. Air Forces Africa (AFAFRICA) conducts sustained security engagement and operations to promote air safety, security, and development in Africa.
STUTTGART, Germany (Aug. 24, 2016) -- Representatives from U.S. Africa Command, AFRICOM component commands, Combined Joint Task Force – Horn of Africa, and other U.S. military, interagency, and partner organizations participated in AFRICOM's Surgeon's Conference at Kelley Barracks on Aug. 24. Entitled "Strength Through Health," the conference allowed participants to discuss ways to leverage capabilities of all partners, including international and interagency, on the African continent to deliver health services to U.S. and combined forces.
