More than 110 African participants from nearly 40 AU member militaries were represented at the 2020 Colloquium. Delegates from the British Army, AFRICOM headquarters and its component units, and the Legal Counsel from the African Union attended the event, with commanders and legal advisors discussing military-legal issues that arise in a wide variety of military operations.

The U.S. Embassy in Mauritius and Seychelles and U.S. Africa Command donated 2000 N95 masks, 21,000 gloves, 1,100 shoe covers, and 875 protective suits to the Mauritius Ministry of Health and Wellness on April 20. In 2019 four African partner nations, Ghana, Senegal, Uganda, and Rwanda, were provided with the training and equipment to efficiently and effectively set-up, take down, and operate an UN-standard level-2 hospital through the African Peacekeeping Rapid Response Partnership program.
UN-standard level-2 hospitals provided by the U.S. to African partner nations as part of the African Peacekeeping Rapid Response Partnership (ARPRP) have been deployed to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.
