April is Month of the Military Child! I am a Military Child I know…I'm strong.
I can…move mountains.
I am…a challenged military child.

I know…I'm fun to be around.
I can…make people smile!
I am…a spontaneous military child.

I know…I'm helpful.
I can…turn frowns upside down.
I am…a friend to a military child.

I know…I have the ability to do anything.
I can…make my life worthwhile.
I am…an encouraged military child.

I know…I can
I can…I know
I am…Nicole Bianca Harvin, a military child. For well over ten years April has been set aside as the Month of the Military child. The Month of the Military Child offers the opportunity to focus on military children and honor their sacrifices. Installations and other organizations throughout the military community will sponsor activities and events for Service members' children. Check with your local Family Center, Family Readiness Group, or Youth Services to find out what’s happening in your community to celebrate the Military Child. If you are not near a military installation but want ideas for activities to help celebrate our military children, visit the following websites:Military HOMEFRONT's Healthy Parenting InitiativeMilitary Child Education CoalitionOur Military KidsMilitary Youth on the Move Other Garrison Calendars: http://old.armymwr.com/portal/family/childandyouth/momc.asp .
