Baden-Wurttemberg, Bavaria schools start summer break this week Schools throughout the German States of Baden-Wurttemberg and Bavaria will start their summer break this week. Traffic will be heavy on all major autobahns throughout Germany and in some neighboring countries. Attached is a map of Germany that outlines the major highways where traffic delays can be expected this weekend and throughout the six-week school break; especially during the weekends. To check the current traffic condition on various autobahns throughout Germany, visit the Stuttgart Garrison home page at www.stuttgart.army.mil and click on the Live Online traffic icon on the right side of the front page or visit; 116>www.svz-bw.de/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=59&Itemid= 116 German-American Wandering Club holds annual Volksmarch this weekend The Stuttgart German-American Wandering Club will hold its annual Volksmarch event July 31 and Aug. 1. The Volksmarch will include 7, 14, and 22 Kilometer routes that all start at the Turnhalle am Sportplatz an der Kemnater Strasse 50 in 70619 Stuttgart-Heumaden. The marches will begin at 8 a.m. on Saturday (July 31) and at 6:30 a.m. on Sunday (Aug. 1). For more information, see the attached SGAWC document or visit www.sgawc.org. Kathe Wohlfahrt store re-opens this weekend The Kathe Wohlfahrt Store, located in the Panzer Kaserne Post Exchange mall will re-open its doors this weekend after relocating to another part of the Panzer mall. The store hours will be Monday - Saturday from 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. and on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information on this weekend's sales at the store, see the attached document.
