For the foreseeable future, various German citizen initiatives will be conducting almost daily protests against the construction of the new train station (Hauptbahnhof) in Stuttgart. Demonstrations will likely occur in front of and on the north side of the existing Hauptbahnhof located at Arnulf-Klett-Platz in downtown Stuttgart. The number of demonstration participants will vary from as few as 50 to as many as 5000 people. Some demonstrations have been properly registered with the German authorities, but a few are expected to be spontaneous. All demonstrations are expected to be peaceful.


EASY TO FOLLOW INDIVIDUAL SELF PROTECTION MEASURES:

1. Be aware of your surroundings.
2. Avoid planned gatherings or demonstrations. Maintain awareness of your surroundings so you will recognize conditions which may lead to a spontaneous demonstration.
3. If you happen to come upon a demonstration, remain calm and disengage from the situation. Avoid speaking loudly.
4. Try to be inconspicuous. Do not draw attention to yourself.
5. Travel in small groups (never alone) and vary movements.
6. Always let someone know where you're going and when you expect to return.
7. Stay away from high risk areas.
8. Know emergency numbers and potential safe areas.
9. Carry a cell phone if possible.
10. Keep vehicle in good working order and fuel tank full.

All U.S. personnel are advised to avoid any occurring demonstrations.
