Demonstration & March set for downtown Stuttgart Wednesday, Sept. 1 at 4
p.m.

There is a demonstration and march scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 1, from
4 to 6 p.m. in downtown Stuttgart. The event is being organized by the
"Buendnis gegen Stuttgart 21" (Alliance against Stuttgart 21) (an alliance
of various German citizen initiatives) will conduct a demonstration march
starting at the Villa Reitzenstein, headquarters of the Minister President
of the State of Baden-Wuerttemberg, located at Richard-Wagner-Strasse 15,
in Stuttgart, and march via Sonnenbergstrasse, Hohenheimstrasse,
Charlottenstrasse, and Planie, to the Neue Schloss (New Castle).
The purpose of this demonstration is to protest against the construction
of a new Stuttgart Hauptbahnhof (Main Train Station). Approximately 1,000 -
2,000 people are expected to participate. This demonstration march has been
properly registered with German authorities and is expected to be peaceful.


Garrison Religious Support Office hosts Revival and Men's Power Conference

The Stuttgart Garrison Religious Support Office will host the Men's 1 Day
Power Conference on Sept. 4 at 10 a.m. in the Panzer Kaserne Chapel. All men
18 years and older are welcome to participate.
Dr. Ron Archer and his son Chris Archer will lead this one-day conference
titled "Iron Sharpens Iron". This father and son duo will also team-up and
to present "A Revival in Stuttgart" at the Panzer Kaserne Chapel Sept. 6 - 8
from 7 to 8:30 p.m. These revival sessions are open to everyone in the
community.

The Stuttgart American Red Cross hosts golf classic on Labor Day, Sept. 6

The Stuttgart American Red Cross will host its 24th Annual Golf Classic
on Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 6 at the Kornwestheim Golf Course.
Golfers can still register on the day of the event starting at 7 a.m. The
Four-Person Scramble Shotgun start will kick-off at 9 a.m. Lunch will be
provided to all registered golfers.

ACAP alters work hours starting Sept. 6

The Army Career Alumni Program office, located in Building 2915 on Panzer
Kaserne will have new customer service hours starting on Sept. 6. The ACAP
office will be open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m.
