Photographer Tom Bloch reinterprets the Trauma of 9-11

Special Opening September 11, 2010, 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.

For many Americans the area around Ground Zero in New York City is sacred.

Stuttgart photographer Tom Bloch reinterprets America's Trauma: He had taken numerous pictures of the Twin Towers against the backdrop New York. He returned right after the terror attacks to document the changes in the cityscape. Tom Bloch's photographs have become part of the collection of the National 9-11 Memorial & Museum. This exhibit is family friendly and does not include any of the violence associated with the terrorist attacks of that terrible day.

Tom Bloch's Photo Exhibit will be shown at the German-American Center/James-F.-Byrnes-Institute: September 11 to October 7, Tuesday - Thursday 2 p.m. - 6 p.m. There will be a special opening on September 11, 2010, 11 am - 5 p.m.

The exhibit is sponsored by the Daimler AG.
