Patch Barracks car wash to experience service interruptions: Oct. 19-22 The Family and MWR car wash on Patch Barracks will be undergoing minor roof repairs during the week of Oct. 19-22 and will be required to close intermittently throughout the week. Customers are encouraged to either stop by or call ahead to verify if the facility is in operation. Pfennig Bazaar in need of volunteers and baked goods: Oct. 21-23 Volunteers are still needed for the upcoming 42nd Annual Pfennig Bazaar, hosted by the German-American Women's Club. Set up will be Oct 21 from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. and the sale will run Oct. 22 from 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Oct. 23 from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Van drivers and set-up and tear-down personnel are needed as well as volunteers on the floor. The GAWC will also hold a bake sale at the Pfennig Bazaar and is looking for donations of baked goods from cupcakes to brownies; no sweets will be turn down. Make a Difference Day looking for volunteers: Oct. 22-23 Make a Difference Day is a national day of helping others -- a celebration of neighbors helping neighbors. Here in U.S. Army Garrison Stuttgart, the theme is "do something for your neighbor." Volunteers are needed to participate in garrison projects on Oct. 22-23, such as assisting in a local soup kitchen, caring for animals at pet shelters or picking up litter along a designated road. Get involved as an individual, group or unit. For more information, contact the Army Volunteer Coordinator at 431-3330/07031-15-3330. American Red Cross offering instructor course: Oct. 26-29. The Stuttgart American Red Cross is offering a Health & Safety CPR, First Aid and AED Instructor Training Course Oct 26-29. The scheduled course time is 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. Interested candidates must pass a prerequisite session prior to taking the course. The cost of the course is $100.
