The following items of U.S. manufacture purchased in the United States or at
the Exchange are prohibited for use in Germany (unless they have CE or
BNetzA symbols):

*Baby Monitors
*V- tech or other wireless telephones
*Remote radio controlled toys
*Other devices that may operate on or transmit a frequency

The frequency range on the above listed devices interferes with host nation
communication systems. As the owner of such electronic devices, DoD
personnel residing on a military installation or on the economy are subject
to German Federal Communication Center (FCC) law and fines (minimum 1,000
EUR).

German authorities have the right to confiscate the prohibited items and DoD
personnel will be held liable by German communication companies or
organizations.

The German authorities will assess the use of these prohibited items in
January 2011 on several military installations in the greater Stuttgart area
and on the economy.
