DoD, U.N. Hold Inaugural Training for Peacekeeping Investigators

The director of the Defense Institute of International Legal Studies, Air Force Col. Kirk Davies, provides instruction at the inaugural training course for national investigative officers for U.N. peacekeeping operations, aimed at holding peacekeepers accountable for abuses such as sexual misconduct and preventing further crimes, Entebbe, Uganda, Jan. 16, 2018. U.S. Africa Command, supported by U.S. European and U.S. Strategic Commands, conducted a partner training event with the Mauritanian Air Force in Atar, Mauritania on Wednesday. U.S. Air Forces in Europe and Africa Joint Terminal Attack Controllers (JTAC) traveled from Vicenza, IT to Atar, Mauritania and conducted ground to air training with Mauritanian Air Force personnel.
