Nigerien Air Force's first female pilot adds C-130 to repertoire
Capt. Ouma Laouali, the first female pilot in the Nigerien air force, observes her instructor pilot as he flies a C-130 Hercules after taking off at Little Rock Air Force Base, Arkansas, March 5, 2020. Upon completion of her training here on April 22, 2020, Laouali brought with her the knowledge of how to employ the C-130 Hercules as a tactical weapon and hone her abilities as a Herk pilot back home — moving troops and supplies throughout the Nigerien air force’s large area of operations, as well as, assist with regional peacekeeping operations.
