U.S. Coast Guard, partners conduct joint rescue of migrants in Atlantic

Migrants aboard a raft are sighted by the crew of USCGC Thetis (WMEC 910) and assisted by the Thetis crew and USCGC Emlen Tunnell (WPC 1145), USCGC Glen Harris (WPC 1144), and a Royal Moroccan Navy during a rescue operation in the Atlantic Ocean, Jan. 4, 2022. U.S. Sixth Fleet, headquartered in Naples, Italy, conducts the full spectrum of joint and naval operations, often in concert with allied and interagency partners, to advance U.S. national interests and security and stability in Europe and Africa.
