Flintlock 2022

A British Ranger advises Ghana Special Forces Soldiers while patrolling during Flintlock 2022, in Côte d'Ivoire, on Feb. 26, 2022. Flintlock is a multi-national exercise consisting of 11 nations training in Côte d'Ivoire. Flintlock helps strengthen the ability of allies and partners to counter violent extremism and provide security for their people.

Lapse In Appropriations

The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EDT on Sept. 30, 2025. Military personnel will continue in a normal duty status, without pay, until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in excepted activities will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status.
