LIMBE, Cameroon (Dec. 6, 2007) -- U.S. sailors work hand-in-hand with Cameroonians from Buea Diocese to offload nearly 500 boxes of a rice-soy food product from a landing craft during an Africa Partnership Station Project Handclasp donation. The donation, coordinated with the U.S. Embassy, will provide approximately 107,000 meals for AIDS/HIV orphans and adults, and other vulnerable children as part of a government-endorsed Catholic Relief Services and Buea Diocese AIDS/HIV project supporting the local population. Project Handclasp is an official U.S. Navy program which coordinates transportation and delivery of humanitarian, educational, and goodwill material for distribution by Naval forces worldwide. The American sailors are with Assault Craft Unit (ACU) 2 and the USS Fort McHenry (LSD 43).(U.S. Navy photo)
