Gen. Langley, meeting with partners in North and West Africa from Feb. 6-11, 2023, started his trip in Senegal. During stops to visit with host nation civilian and military leaders, Langley met President Macky Sall, Minister of Defense Sidiki Kaba, and Gen. Cheikh Wade, chief of staff for the Armed Forces of Senegal, and partner forces at Maison Militaire to discuss security partnership and see how Senegal forces are prepared to meet shared challenges.

The 32nd Chief of U.S. Army Reserve, Lieutenant General Jeffrey W. Talley, hosted a town hall meeting at the Kelley Theater for Reserve Soldiers assigned to U.S. Africa Command. This was part of a two-day visit to the command's headquarters from March 5-6, 2013.
President Joe Biden is hosting leaders from across Africa in Washington, D.C., from Dec. 13-15, 2022, for the U.S.-Africa Leaders Summit. The Summit demonstrates the U.S.’ enduring commitment to Africa, and underscores the importance of U.S.-Africa relations and increased cooperation on shared global priorities.
