Enock Langat, medical logistics (MEDLOG) noncommissioned officer for Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa (CJTF-HOA), prepares a shipment of medical supplies at Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, Apr. 24, 2020. Since the inception of the COVID-19 outbreak, the MEDLOG team has shipped more than 7,000 surgical masks (facemasks), including 5,000 N95 respirators; 2,500 surgical gowns; 150 pairs of reusable goggles; and 20,000 pairs of gloves to outstations throughout East Africa. Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa stands up East Africa’s first blood storage and distribution center

CAMP LEMONNIER, Djibouti – Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa’s (CJTF-HOA) medical logistics Soldiers processed blood for the first time with the command’s brand-new, and only, blood storage and distribution center.
After careful consideration with exercise participants and the host nation, Exercise Phoenix Express 2020 (OE20) has been cancelled for force protection considerations

This training teaches partner forces a variety of lifesaving skills in a realistic scenario, so that they are fully prepared to perform casualty care in a real situation.
