AFRICOM Commander concludes visit to Libya, Algeria, Tunisia

U.S. Army Gen. Stephen Townsend, commander, U.S. Africa Command, wrapped up a two-day visit to Libya, Algeria, and Tunisia, Sept. 27-28. During the visit Gen. Stephen Townsend, commander, U.S. Africa Command, and Amb. Richard Norland, U.S. Special Envoy and Ambassador to Libya, met with interim GNU Prime Minister and Defense Minister Dabaiba in advance of the December elections and to support the country's path toward stability and unity.

Seabees construct new ward at Tunisian hospital to support covid, future response needs

U.S. Navy Seabees and U.S. Marine Corps Engineers work with Tunisian engineers and health officials to construct a new ward at the Tabarka Regional Hospital that will be used as an over-flow ward for COVID-19 or other emergency situations. The project facilitated cooperation with Tunisian partners while improving basic healthcare capacity in rural Tunisia.
