At the behest of the Ministry of Defense, the U.S. government, through U.S. Africa Command, secured the PPE and other supplies in support of the Zambian government’s inter-ministerial measures to contain the spread of this unprecedented public health crisis. The Oct. 1 donation included containers of chlorine as part of a PPE donation to the Defense Forces of Zambia in the fight against COVID-19.

Before the Oct. 1 donation, U.S. Embassy Defense Attaché's Office inspects the donation with the Zambia Defense Force HIV Secretariat.
