Unified Focus

Unified Focus, formerly known as Central Accord, is designed to exercise and assess Lake Chad Basin Commission nations and western partner nations' capabilities to counter terrorism and violent extremist organizations.

** no longer an active exercise, as per J37, as of Nov. 13, 2020

The last iteration of the United Focus staff exercise, held in 2018, brought together military partners from Lake Chad Basin Commission’s Multinational Joint Task Force Troop Contributing Countries Benin, Cameroon, Chad, Niger, and Nigeria, to practice joint planning and coordination through a series of academics followed by practical exercises.

The academics and tabletop practical exercises focused on countering Boko Haram operations with an additional focus on regional security and stability.

There was no United Focus exercise in 2019.
